Screenwriter Analisa LaBianco says her take on the developing UPN TV drama will be "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" meets "Raiders Of The Lost Ark" ...
UPN and Paramount have cut a deal with producers Chuck Gordon/Adrian Askarieh to develop a series based on the Image Comics' "Cliffhanger" imprint "DANGER GIRL", created by J. Scott Campbell/Andy Hartnell.
Screenwriter Analisa LaBianco has been hired for the small-screen adaptation, describing her vision of the project as "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" meets "Raiders of the Lost Ark."
Premise of the comic book revolves around the exploits of the members of an underground network of female spies.
LaBianco says "These are women dealing with the quarter-life crisis, that moment when you're 25 and think, 'What do I want to do with my life?'"
Gordon and Askarieh are executive producers on the project with LaBianco as co-executive producer. "Danger Girl" creators Campbell and Hartnell will also serve as co-executive producers.
"DANGER GIRL" is the third co-production for Gordon's Daybreak and Askarieh's Prime Universe Prods.
